Sizes vary from small, medium to large. You can also choose bean bags that really have measurements so that you will be able to know if it fits in your house and if it can accommodate enough people.Picking the right sized bean bag chair can be a bit of a challenge. Here are a few guidelines to follow to help you make the best choice:-
Small and medium bags are best suited for children.A child sized chair (2 ft x 2 ft) will generally support a child 50 – 60 pounds or less. And a slightly larger bag can accommodate teenagers.Older children and teenagers tend to prefer a mid-sized adult bean bag chair to a kid’s sized bean bag chair (2.5ft x 2.5ft). Large-size bags are appropriate for adults and even large-size people can enjoy the extra large bags. Adult sized chairs support any weight but if you are a larger person a larger chair will suit you better (greater than 3 ft).
Go by height
The feature that determines whether the bean bag is perfect or not is its height. If you are less than 5’5” a small to medium sized chair (3 ft tall and around 3 ft to 4 ft wide) is perfect for you. If you are over 5’5”, then a chair that is over 3 ft tall and at least 4 ft wide will suit you perfectly.
Go by shape
The most common shape of beanbags is the traditional round style.Round bean bag chairs have seen usage as sofas, beds, and even board room meeting chairs. Currently, the round style is the most widely one available. The round barrel shaped chairs are great for all ages and sizes. They provide great lounging comfort but do not provide much in the way of back and neck support when sitting up.The pear-shaped chairs are also great for all ages and sizes.Pear shaped styles are more commonly found to be owned by beanbag chair collectors. They too provide great lounging comfort but due their shape are more chair-like and offer great back and neck support.
